When I’m checking into a hotel room the last thing that comes to mind is, “was someone sodomized and then murdered here?” If I’m in a hotel where I’m asking that in the first place, I’ve probably already checked out.
However, some hotels may be a little more subtle in their murder history. It’s not always doors falling off the hinges and blood splattered all over the carpet that would indicate that a murder had taken place there. Sometimes, a murder may have been committed so seamlessly, you wouldn’t even realize it had happened.
This was the case for a contractor in Raleigh, North Carolina stumbled upon something while removing furniture from a Sheraton hotel room that was about to be renovated. What he uncovered was a note written on the back of one of the photos hanging on the wall. The contents of the note are, as some might say, highly disturbing, and we have written them below.
To whom it may concern:
Between the years of 2008 and 2010, I would check into this room by special request.
And after six or seven weeks of planning, I would select a victim from a local college or from the apartments adjacent to the windows in this room.
After gagging said victim, so as not to disturb the other guests, I would begin the ‘procedure’ with a hint of sodomy.
My crimes were far from victimless, however I always committed them with the attitude of helping the victim go free from this world and helping the community at large.
I’ve never been one to leave witnesses but I felt I should leave this account of my life’s work so that someone will understand.
Are you the one who will save me?
Very, very creepy.
It’s not known if the note is legitimate or just a dumb prank by someone who was bored in a hotel room, but Raleigh police are now investigating the possibility of foul play.
