We should never have to say this, but apparently we have to say it anyway: NO picture is worth your life. If a selfie sounds like a cool idea but could potentially kill you, don’t do it. It’s just not worth it in any way.
If you need evidence of why, look no further. A teenage boy fell to his death after trying to take a photo on top of a building. While attempting to take a picture with the city as his background, he slipped and fell, grabbing onto the side of the building.
The 19-year-old selfie-taker, who has been identified but not to the public, died immediately on impact with the ground after struggling to pull himself to safety.
Witnesses were visibly upset by the fatal accident, which happened in the town of Novy Urengoy in north central Russia. An onlooker filmed the entire ordeal, though we are hoping he called 911 before the camera started rolling. Otherwise, that makes this footage even more disturbing.
