Science is always a weird class. Take 30 bored kids and give them bunsen burners and stationary and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. I dread to think what inhaling the fumes from countless burning plastic rulers did to my insides, but hey, it sure passed the time.
A video has leaked online of a science class that looks like more fun than most, because instead of burning stationary, the teacher decides to go for a kid’s hand.
The brave teacher took a beaker full of soap bubbles and filled them with methane gas. Methane gas is lighter than air so when lit, rise upwards way from the hand, causing no harm to the skin.
But while these kids didn’t know that for sure, they still yelled in agreement when the teacher suggested lighting the boy’s hand on fire. High school is a harsh place.
So next time you want to trick your friends into thinking you’re a reincarnated fire-wizard (and who the hell doesn’t), then all you need is some methane and a bit of washing up liquid. Easy.
